Our Countries Birthday...

The 4th of July was a fun filled day, but the fun really began on Friday, July 1st. Kevin had been wanting a golf cart ever since we moved into Niguel Shores. We had been looking for over a month and we thought we had ordered one, but they kept messing things up and we kept waiting. Finally on Friday, July 1st they delivered it to our house, just in time for the 4th of July festivities. I was pretty excited to go get decorations and get it all ready for the parade. Long story short I spent Sunday afternoon decorating it only to find out that it was leaking gas on the engine and not safe to drive. I told Kevin I felt like a little kid who had their favorite toy taken away. Oh well, we still had a really fun fourth.

The finished product that sat in our driveway all day.

Anyways, we started the day at the club house for the annual 4th of July parade. It was so fun this year. I decorated Cody's bike with crate paper, flags, pinwheels, and star garland. I also decorated the stroller so Eva was riding in style. Cody rode the whole parade route. It was a long ride, thanks to Auntie Mindy for keeping up with him. After the parade we headed to the park to play and get tattoos. The Beebe family then headed home to partake in some Ladera Ranch festivities. Kevin and Ryan took the boys in the pool. They had a great time swimming. We had hot dogs at the Club House with Mimi, Poppy, Amanda, Ryan and Ty and headed home for a much needed nap (Cody was a basket case). After nap we went for a walk, then the boys tried out the water blasters to make sure they were still working. Kevin made dinner and we headed down to the bluff to eat with my parents, Tony, Victoria, Steve, Pat and hundreds of our other closest friends. It was a very festive scene. They had a DJ playing music. We ate then headed home for bath and jammies. We put Eva down and took Cody and went out front to watch fireworks. It is great because we can see 3-4 different firework shows right from our front yard. Fireworks are my favorite part of the day, I wish they were every night. It was a wonderful day!

Eva enjoying her stroller ride!

Cody and Poppy waiting for the parade to start.

Cody, Isla, and Ty were excellent bike riders.

At the end of it all. Great job guys!

Eva got bored in her stroller so she joined Madison.

Swimming with his new floaties.

Lunch time...hot dog and chips. Yummy!

Water blasters are so much fun!

Poppy, Pat, Steve, Victoria, and Mimi

Eva loving being down and free to roll around.

He will make friends with anyone. Love this boy!

He played so hard and was so tired,
but he couldn't wait for fireworks.

Happy birthday America! We are so blessed to live in a country that allows us so many rights and liberties. Thank you to all those who fight to keep us free. You are in our prayers.
