Oh Carpinteria!

We took out annual trip to Carpinteria. My family has been camping there since I was eight years old. It is so fun to now take my kids for the week. It is a place filled with so many memories and I am so glad that my kids can now make their own.

What a fun filled week we had in Carpinteria! Cody (Mayor of Carpinteria/Camp Ground Host) had the time of his life. What kid wouldn't have fun with the beach right there, all your friends and cousins within walking distance, and both sets of grandparents.... I think Cody could have stayed there forever.

I think I will do a few posts since I have so many pictures. We were there for 5 nights and 6 days.

We rented a trailer this year, it was huge. It turned out to be a perfect size for all of our stuff and our precious children. The day we arrived, Sunday was kind of a blur. We spent most of the day unpack and setting everything up. We had dinner that night with the Meachams (who were right next to us for one night, which was really fun). We smoked some chicken and made rice with finne and salad. It was delicious. Mike also made some homemade ice cream which he shared with everyone. Yummy!
Monday was beautiful. We spent most of the day on the beach playing in the sand and the water. These are pictures from Sunday and Monday.

So excited to begin our drive up to Carpinteria.

Auntie Denise was nice enough to make Cody a PB&J
sandwich since we were setting up.

Watching their first toon in the trailer.

Eva and Mimi...not quite sure of the beach yet.

Surfing, as Cody calls it, with a little help from Daddy.

Loading the water squirters for a war.

Squirting each other and having fun.

Then they ganged up on Logan with a little help from Kevin.

Emma asked her mom if they could keep Eva.

Trying out Slayder's cool bike.

Bike derby...The kids all joined in and just rode their
bike back and forth for at least 20 minutes. I guess all
the cars got the memo because none came by.

Luke did a great job on his bike.

Slayder trying to scoot on his new peddle bike.

Wes on his tricycle.

Cody was just loving all the action. Lots of noise!

Eva was loving watching all the kids going crazy.

Loves her daddy!

Cody and Grampy

Roasting his first marshmellow, yummy!

Ty roasting with Uncle Todd.

Poppy working on the perfect marshmellow.

Yummy!
